Community:

The mission of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, as a warm and supportive Christian community, is to strengthen the ministry of its members, to proclaim the Good News of Christ's unconditional love in all we say and do, through prayer, study, service, and worship. Our love, faith, and unity in Christ enable us to risk ourselves as we offer compassion and courage to serve the needs and hopes of the world around us.

St. Peter's supports many ministries to live up to our mission statement.
The following list is a sample of those ministries, but by no means a complete list.

Elder Ministries
St. Peter's is actively supports the Episcopal Church Home by providing volunteers to the home on Mount Hope Avenue in Rochester, and its Enriched Living satellite, Brentland Woods, which is located right behind our Church. St. Peter's vacated approximately eight acres of our property to make Brentland Woods possible. A Sunday morning eight o'clock Mass is being held at Brentland Woods by St. Peter's clergy.

Youth Ministries
St. Peter's has a very active Youth Group, which maintains its very own web page here.

The Youth Group gets together regularly for fun events, such as bowling or camping, and for mission events, such as helping out at the Rush Henrietta Food Terminal. Every summer the Youth Group goes on a mission trip. This year the trip took them to Burlington, Vermont, where they helped renovate low income housing.
Prison Ministries
St. Peter's has a long standing tradition of working in prison ministries, such as collaboration with Cephas Attica or tutoring at Industry. We continue to provide volunteers and resources that help rehabilitate non-violant ex-offenders.
Adopt-A-Soldier
We are currently in the process of starting an Adopt-A-Soldier program.
