Bible Study – The Book of Job
St. Peter’s is currently studying the Book of Job.
Come ready to begin a challenging exploration of religious issues of
fundamental importance: the motivation for piety, the meaning of suffering,
the nature of God, the place of justice in the world, and the relationship
of order and chaos in God’s design of creation. Anyone who has suffered has
asked and even demanded answers to the questions that we find in the Book of
Job. We will study the questions concerning suffering and read some of the
best Hebrew Poetry in the Bible!
Bring a Bible if you have one or borrow one from the church. We typically
open with prayer, have some small group time and a time of instruction.
Don’t worry if you miss a few sessions. Come anyway! We will catch you up!
The Bible Study will be 7 p.m. every other Tuesday beginning April 15
through November 11. If Tuesday nights doesn’t work for you don't be left
out. Read the Blog on Thursday to see what happened on Tuesday. Receive
Julie's Bible Study notes by calling the office or by emailing her at:
jcicora@stpetershenrietta.org . Make an appointment with Julie if you want
a one on one discussion of a particular section. See updates in the
newsletter.
Sunday School at St. Peter’s
Currently, St. Peter’s has three levels of Sunday School:
- PreK through 3rd Grade
- Grades 4-7
- Grades 7-12
Classes are bible based and focus on the same scripture used in the worship service. Classes are taught by a team of dedicated teachers.
In addition to classes, the youth join the adults on the first Sunday of the month for a youth oriented sermon and worship service. There are other youth services through out the year, including All Hallow’s Eve, the Christmas Pageant, and an Easter Egg hunt. |
